Private networks on our platform can use IP addresses anywhere in the following ranges:

  • 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 (16,777,216 IP addresses)
  • 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 (1,048,576 IP addresses)
  • 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 (65,536 IP addresses)

When designing a private network within the Data Center Designer, by default the system will automatically assign a class A type of private IP(default set to Automatic). In other words all the IPs part of that LAN, will be sharing the same 3 octets(10.x.x). Private IPs can be also specified and assigned manually to the corresponding network interface cards, within the ranges specified above.
